What it is

Let's be clear about what this is, because people sometimes mix it up with subtitling. Transcription gives you a text document with everything said in the recording; subtitling puts that text inside the video. One person listens to your audio, writes down every word and marks who's speaking; another person checks the text against the recording. If you need it in the other language, we translate it in the same job. We can also add timestamps so you find each part quickly. You get clean, easy-to-read text, ready to use.

How your investment is calculated

We charge per minute of recording. Same language: 3 to 5 USD per minute; with translation into the other language: 6 to 8 USD per minute. The price moves up within that range if there's background noise, several people talking at once, or you want timestamps. Example: a clear 20-minute interview in the same language is 20 x 3 = 60 USD; with translation, 20 x 6 = 120 USD. The minimum per order is 15 USD: a 2-minute voice note is charged 15 USD.

We accept several payment methods:

You pay from your traducasa.com account once you have approved the price.

If the job costs less than 300 USD, you pay in full when you approve the quote. If it's several hours of recording adding up to 300 USD or more, you pay 50% to start and 50% on delivery.

Guarantee and refunds

Service guarantee: if an office objects to the translation because of a mistake on our part, we fix it at no cost and deliver it again. Revisions of our translation are included.

Refund policy, depending on timing:

Before we start working on your document: 100% refund.
Work started but not delivered: we refund the part not yet worked on.
Work delivered: no refund, but we fix any mistake of ours at no cost.
Official fees and shipping already paid to third parties cannot be recovered.

Your documents and your data are always handled with full confidentiality.

What's at stake if I use an automatic transcript?

Machines change names, numbers and words when there's an accent, background noise or two people talking. An error like that in an interview or meeting can change what someone said. A real person listening to every word gives you text you can trust.

Is this the same as subtitling?

No. Transcription gives you a text document; subtitling puts the text inside the video.

Can you translate the audio into the other language?

Yes. We transcribe and translate in the same job, at 6 to 8 USD per minute.

What if part of the recording can't be heard well?

We mark it in the text so you know where it is, instead of guessing.

Do you transcribe WhatsApp voice notes?

Yes. Send us the audio and we'll give you the price in the same conversation. The minimum per order is 15 USD.
