Let's clear this up, because it often gets mixed up with translation or notarization. An apostille is a certificate issued by the state where your document was issued so that another Hague Convention country will recognize it. In Florida it's issued by the Department of State, and it only accepts the original document or a certified copy, not a photocopy. We check that your document is the right one, prepare the request, send it and get it back to you apostilled. If the destination country is not part of the convention, a consular legalization is needed, and we quote that separately by country.

What’s not included
- The official state fee, paid separately (10 USD per document in Florida; 20 USD if certified by a Clerk of Court).
- Getting certified copies of your records: those are requested from the office that issued them; we tell you how.
- Translating the document: if the other country asks for it, that's the Certified translation of official documents service.
- Legal advice or any guarantee that the other country's office will accept your filing.
How your investment is calculated
It has two parts: our fee, 125 USD for the first document and 75 USD for each additional one, plus the Florida state fee, 10 USD per document (20 USD if certified by a Clerk of Court). Example: 2 Florida birth certificates = 125 + 75 + 2 × 10 = 220 USD. Return shipping, if you don't pick up in Doral, and documents from other states or consular legalization are quoted separately. The price we give you is the price you pay.

Jobs under 300 USD are paid in full when you approve the quote. Projects of 300 USD or more: 50% to start and 50% on delivery. The state fee is paid together with our fee, because we pay it to the state on your behalf.
Guarantee and refunds
Service guarantee: if an office objects to the translation because of a mistake on our part, we fix it at no cost and deliver it again. Revisions of our translation are included.
Refund policy, depending on timing:
- Before we start working on your document: 100% refund.
- Work started but not delivered: we refund the part not yet worked on.
- Work delivered: no refund, but we fix any mistake of ours at no cost.
- Official fees and shipping already paid to third parties cannot be recovered.
Your documents and your data are always handled with full confidentiality.
