At Traducasa, your papers hold your whole life, and we protect them as if they were our own. Here we explain what data we collect, what we use it for and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are
Traducasa is a translation house operated by Traducasa LLC, with an office at 9831 NW 58th St #134, Doral, FL 33178, United States. For any privacy matter, email us at info@traducasa.com or call (786) 695-0502.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: your full name, phone number, email and the password you choose (stored encrypted; no one can read it).
- Your documents: the files you send us to translate and the translations we deliver. They may contain sensitive data, such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses or medical information.
- Order data: the services you request, quotes, amounts and delivery method. If you ask for shipping, your mailing address.
- Payment data: processed by the payment company you choose. We do not store your full card number.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and pages visited, which the site records to work, stay secure and count visits.
3. What we use it for
- To translate, review, certify and deliver your documents.
- To call you or message you by WhatsApp, phone or email to give you the price, confirm your order and let you know when it is ready.
- To process payments and keep a record of your orders.
- To keep the site secure and improve our service.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only with those we need in order to serve you:
- Our translation and review team, who work under a confidentiality commitment.
- Technical providers: our web host (DreamHost), the site tools (WordPress, WooCommerce and Jetpack, by Automattic) and the payment companies you choose.
- Services you use when you tap a button: WhatsApp (Meta) if you message us there, and Google if you open the office map.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. Cookies
We use cookies so your session and your order work, to remember the language you chose (Spanish or English) and to count visits. You can delete or block them in your browser; if you do, you may not be able to sign in to your account.
6. How we protect your documents
- Your documents live in your account, protected by username and password; each person sees only their own.
- The site uses a secure connection (HTTPS) on every page.
- A sensitive document is never sent loose by email: you download it from your account or we hand it to you in person.
- Hard copies are delivered only to you or to someone you authorize.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your documents and translations for 12 months after delivering your work, so you can request another copy. After that we delete them. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
8. Your rights
At any time and at no cost, you can ask us to:
- Show you what data we have about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete your account and your documents, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Stop sending you messages.
Email us at info@traducasa.com and we will reply within 10 business days.
9. Minors
This site is for people 18 and older. If we translate a minor’s documents, we receive them from the parent or guardian, who opens the account.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date. If the change is important, we will let you know by email.
